The dearth of competence stateside has forced me to search hither and yon for artists who are more interested in innovation than adulation. This describes Denmark’s Marvins Revolt to a T.

The Copenhagen trio made a sizable splash in 2007 with the progressively poppy Killec. They’re now set to unveil a second album – Patrolling the Heights – on Monday (listen to the full tracks here). They’re kicking off a two-month tour tonight which will take them throughout Europe and Japan in support of the record.
